CREATIVE DIRECTOR, COPYWRITER / GENUINE / DECEMBER 2017 – OCTOBER 2020
As one of the agency's creative leaders, I help to run integrated teams and promote the values of brand development in a digitally-led environment. In this role, I led the team to win Genuine’s first social AOR.

ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR, COPYWRITER / GENUINE / MAY 2016 – DECEMBER 2017
I joined Genuine’s copy team to bring traditional experience to a well-established digital agency. In my first year and a half, I was part of the team to earn Genuine an AOR relationship – a first for the agency – with a national consumer brand. I also helped launch UL XplorLabs, an open-access interactive learning platform that earned us MITX recognition, a Hatch bowl, a Gold AVA Digital Award, Silver Communicator Award of Distinction and a Gold MediaPost OMMA Award.

ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR, COPYWRITER / PARTNERS+SIMONS / 2015 – 2016
Writing in advertising is like ordering the dessert sampler; the best part is getting to try a little of everything. At PARTNERS+simons, I gained experience with major health and financial services brands, became a more versatile writer and took on increased responsibility for creative output.

COPYWRITER / MMB / 2008 – 2015
There is no better place to grow up than a small, demanding agency with big, demanding clients. (And phenomenally talented, patient and generous mentors.) 

At MMB I worked on national and worldwide consumer campaigns for diverse, category leading clients across TV, radio, video, OOH, print, digital, DM and social media. I concepted, collaborated, presented, pitched, wrote, directed and got to be part of a career-worthy number of productions. I learned to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while balancing a high volume of assignments across channels and clients. And I learned what it took to be part of a small team working on the second-largest franchise in the world.

ASSISTANT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / MMB / 2008
Starting on the account side teaches you a few things: like the importance of clear communication, the power of a good brief and how to get into the office at 9am. 

 

COPYEDITOR / 2006 – 2007
Much to my dermatologist’s delight, I spent summers indoors editing standardized test books and classroom texts for elementary and middle schoolers. As a freelancer, I learned how to take initiative, stay organized and manage my time effectively without supervision.

WAITRESS, HOSTESS / 2007
Working in the service industry taught me to be gracious, obsequious and good to the people who pay the bill. (Even when you know they’re going to have two waters, split a Reuben and leave you change on the dollar.)

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in theater and theater history.
